Hello Spring! (almost for real this time)
Monthly-ish Bulletin
"when it rains and you don't have to water the grass"
trying to put together wings from IKEA
We made it through April! Yippee!
I said it before and I'll say it again - Don't rush to clean-up your gardens...
We have so many beautiful butterflies that are still sleeping among the leaves and twigs. Hold-off if you can until we've had 10 days in a row of 10+ degrees Celsius (night and day).
We are almost there! 1-2 more weeks!!!
What I've Learned Recently
Apparently Irish Spring soap keeps mosquitos away? I'm going to try this!
Matilde Boelhouwer is a Dutch Artist who designs plant sculptures that actually provide pollen to bees and butterflies! Check them out HERE

This looks like a great event coming up!
I attended Earthfest at Citi Plaza last month and it was a great event as it is every year! I held a draw for a FREE, in-person consultation and the winner is.... Bethannaee!!!!! I'll be sending you an email today to schedule your site visit. Congrats! My table was neighbouring my friend Amanda from "Living with Rosess". She is a London-based artist who creates works using plants from her own garden (you can see the lovely back of my head in this photo of her at her booth lol). Check out her work on Instagram @LivingwithRosess or online HERE

What's New & Exciting with Me?
I have learned that the play I was in (SYLVIA in St.Thomas where I played a dog named Sylvia) is up for some awards! Most memorable scene (when I was in heat and humping my co-actor's leg), Best Performance in a major role (me as Sylvia) and Best Cameo performance by said co-star - Paul Pickard! Winners will be announced at the Western Ontario Drama League's gala event on May 18th in Leamington. Stay tuned! WODL
My Podcast "Hops and Hedges" is a space where I bring on guests to talk about their business, landscaping, plants, gardens, beer, mental health, entrepreneurship and MORE! Give it a listen and a follow AND, if you would like to be a guest or if you would like to nominate anyone - let me know and let's make it happen!
May 2nd (This Friday!!!) I'll be on the stage again in St.Thomas for an Improv Night with Rail City Theatre... think of it as a Rated R version of "Whose Line is it Anyway?" Maybe I'll see you there? TICKETS
I'll be speaking to the London-Middlesex Master Gardeners on Monday, May 12th at the Civic Gardens about "Reimagining Eden: Technology and Climate in the Gardens of Tomorrow". Maybe I'll see you there?!
If there are any topics or information you'd like me to include - LET ME KNOW!
I'll keep this bulletin short & sweet and promise not to spam you.
