A Message from YOUR Landscape Artist

Hello September!

It's like the "Monday" of the year.

Back to school, back home from the cottage, and back to the office to plan the rest of the week - YEAR!

What’s happening this month:

I'm back at Fanshawe College teaching Dynascape in the Hort Tech program
Sept 20th: Ice Cream Festival in Grand Bend!
Sept 24th: Plant Bingo at Anderson Craft Ales, London, ON.
Fall Planters getting done up last week in September

What's blooming in the garden:

Sedum in full bloom
Japanese anemones
Garden mums
Asters
Goldenrod
Rudbeckia and coneflowers continuing to bloom
Ornamental grasses developing their beautiful seed heads
Late-blooming hydrangeas

What you can do in the garden this month? PLANT! PLANT! PLANT!

Plant Spring bulbs and divide perennials. The soil is still warm, while air temperatures are becoming more comfortable. It's an excellent time to plant. Plants have time to establish roots before winter without having to deal with the intense heat of July.

I am excited to announce that my podcast "Hops and Hedges" is coming soon to RogersTV in London, Ontario!
I am SO EXCITED to be invited to Hort East in New Brunswick this November to speak at their conference!

And that's it - I like to keep this short and sweet...like me 😁

Final Note...

It is with great sadness that I share the passing of my good friend and fellow gardener, Bryan Moore. Bryan worked with me on a number of projects over the years. He was a lover of all plants but especially loved roses. We loved to chat about art, psychology and horticulture. Rest well dear friend.
